David Sylvian - Beautiful Country (Isolated Vocal)
There was some discussion online about software and apps to isolate and spilt elements in songs, so I thought I'd have a go. It's not perfect, there are issues with it and I haven't tried to edit the result in any way.
Just a bit of fun, enjoy it for what it is! Vocal kicks in about 25 seconds in...

Robert Graves - The Foreboding
Просмотров 5 тыс.9 лет назад
This poem was featured in David Sylvian's 'Upon This Earth' from the 'Gone To Earth' album. I thought fans might enjoy hearing Robert recite the poem by itself. The Foreboding By Robert Graves Looking by chance in at the open window I saw my own self seated in his chair With gaze abstracted, furrowed forehead, Unkempt hair. I thought that I had suddenly come to die, That to a cold corpse this w...

You may be able to see the 'Ride' was track #6...

Increíble David Sylvian, traspasa el espirítu con esta canción.
🙏❤️🌈
Despite similarities to his brother in voice, Steve definitely had his own voice. But those eyebrows! 😂
This is very "Visions of China".
The classical piano by Ryuichi Sakamoto is deeply soul staring and this particular version with David Sylvian is beautiful. I bought the 7" single from Woolworths when it was first released. I also like the former group Japan too.
sylvian art japan cool
Beautiful video
Are you playing over the song? What I mean is are actually playing over mick karns playing bass or is it cut out?
Guys, looks like it's time for us to let it go. Rob Dean just said: "The 'original' was never even mixed or finished with a definitive vocal so you can just forget about that. But what is here [Sylvian's version in E&N] IS the original with some extra instrumentation and new vocals. Believe me, it's really not that far removed from when it was originally recorded at all. Almost all (if not all) of the band's tracks are there to be heard." He just said this a couple of weeks ago on a Facebook group called "JAPAN Nightporter" because Sylvian announced (through his social media accounts, he is not in that group) a new vinyl version of Everything and Nothing and some fan asked if the original version of SKoF would be released anytime soon. "JAPAN Nightporter" is a very old fan club, and both Rob and Richard are on that group, so there's legitimacy on Rob's words. It's up to each to believe what he says.

Whatever he did Mick Karn was cool… I like this version, I just wish Midge kept the lead guitar in for the end of the solo break-filled in with keyboard-and also guitar lead over ‘no regrets’ at the end… What a band though!
I wish they had recorded more Nine Horses. Ive got the album, the CD single and the Money For All e.p and its not enough
David Sylvian 목소리만 들었지 얼굴은 처음 봅니다! 뮤직 비디오도 아름다워요
한국의 장마철에 이 음악 틀어놓으면 너무 잘 어울림.... 육중하게 떨어지는 빗소리 들으면서
Went to a Karaoke Bar -when I particularly asked for this version (by Japan,I said)- quite funny to watch the DJ expression.
The time signature on that Bass is gold!
RIP Mr Sakamoto
Does he strum the same chords on every song?
Thinking of Mick today and always. He'd be 66 today. There is a light that never goes out.❤
@@penelopehughes-jones5265 ❤️🙏 Hope all is well!
Meravigliosa!

Always think this was what should have followed Tin Drum
Brilliant track brilliant band Jeff swansea
I have watched so much Japan and Mick Karn in the past month or so that I now move my head sideways instead of back and forth, as well. I also raise my arms in praise for his actual bass playing. Stunningly awesome. He is sorely missed.
RIP Mick
A truly beautiful song, they don't make them like this no more sadly. A great year it was for music, 1983
Idk why but I vibe with this song. I’m not gay or lgbtq. But I sense a lot of emotions and pain and sadness in the lyrics.
Beautiful, moving, fantastic I've listened to this I. Going to say over 20 years xx
I love the song "Obscure Alternatives"... it's just so beautifully arranged and I love the "crescendo" feeling it has. I honestly prefer Japan's new wave/avant-gard/sperimental side, but their first two albums aren't even normal glam rock style, they're just... JAPAN style, you know? How I wish they had continued to be a band for a few more years...

Davids voice … wonderful
A masterpiece. And the legendary Ryuichi Sakamoto adding colour on the piano. So much greatness in one piece of music.
